What is your Menstrual Cycle trying to tell you?
A woman's menstrual cycle has long since been celebrated. Women's experience of their periods can be challenging with period problems such as period pain, heavy periods, premenstrual symptoms and so much more, so at times 'celebration' seems counter to all of this.
What if we just need to understand more about our cycle?
Whether you are a woman in her later years of menstruation or a young girl who has only just begun the journey, we can all benefit from bringing more understanding to our bodies and to our menstrual cycle.
Trying to 'fix' the problems, the pain and the uncomfortableness is often needed for some relief, yet this 'fix' doesn't go all the way to 'healing'. In order to truly 'heal' we need to understand how and why the period pain got there, why we feel so darn emotional right before our period or perhaps we just bite everyone's head off for no real reason at all.
You might find that your period symptoms are asking you to slow down, to take some time for yourself, to stop trying to do 'everything' for everyone or to make life more simple. Period problems are not just 'the way it is'. With further understanding and connection to our body, we can discover how much we are actually in control of it all and not at the mercy of this 'monthly madness'.
